In the number one switched position you can get an unusually rich clean tone great for jazz, like nothing you've heard, with the mid control lowered or off, treble and baised raised high. I found I could get the "Sticky Fingers" tone in mid position three with mid control at two o'clock and the highs and lows adjusted to taste. In position 2 with the mid (and volume) control dimed you'll get the nastiest ZZ Top style overdrive you've ever heard. It will turn any guitar into the equivalent a "Vari-tone" equipped instrument so you can nail that old Freddie tone. There are some crazy extreme settings you can get using the switch with three selectable mid bands and the massive sweep the mid control gives. You will be blown away at the tone shaping capabilities. I used V-2 and V-4 heads a lot while traveling. ![]()
